NF Trinity Managing Partner and CIO Helen Zhu recently joined hosts Yvonne Man and David Ingles on Bloomberg: The China Show to share her insights on the Asian macroeconomic landscape and the structural shifts driven by artificial intelligence. During the interview, Helen noted that Asian markets have largely absorbed recent US tariff risks, viewing them as a temporary pullback rather than a long-term headwind. She highlighted AI’s disruptive impact on the software sector, explaining that emerging AI substitutes are diminishing the long-term revenue visibility that previously justified high valuation multiples. Contrasting regional equities, Helen pointed out that South Korea’s recent outperformance is being fueled by aggressive capital market reforms and shareholder return initiatives, whereas China continues to navigate a slower economic recovery. Finally, she emphasized that while China’s AI sector is rapidly catching up to the US technologically, unique domestic monetization challenges will increasingly push these firms to seek offshore revenue growth.
