Helen Zhu joined NFT in 2019 as the group’s Managing Director/CIO; and oversees the firm’s investments and day to day operations.
Before joining NFT, Helen was Managing Director, Head of China Equities for Blackrock’s active investments group. Her responsibilities included managing various China equities investment portfolios, overseeing China research, developing the China equities business, and acting as a board member of the BlackRock China onshore entities. In addition, she helped to formulate China-related investment views and communicated such to external clients and media. Before joining BlackRock in 2014, Helen was Managing Director at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong, over eight years her various capacities included Chief China Strategist, Business Unit Leader for Asia Telecom/Internet research and Head of Asia telecom research. Helen joined Goldman Sachs from ABN AMRO, where she spent five years and was sector head of the Asian telecom research team. Helen had previously also worked in private investing for a corporation and in investment banking at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in Hong Kong and New York.
Helen holds a BS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Gautam Sareen joined the Nan Fung Group in 2017; he focuses on private and structured investments.
Before joining Nan Fung, Gautam was a Managing Director and Head of Equity-Linked Capital Markets at Macquarie Bank in Hong Kong. Prior to that, he held similar senior positions at J.P.Morgan in New York and Sydney.
Dick Wei joined Nan Fung in 2020. Dick is involved in the firm’s public securities investments.
Before joining Nan Fung, he was the Chief Strategy Officer of Ele.me (acquired by Alibaba), where he directed Ele.me’s corporate strategy and corporate investment. Prior to that, he was Managing Director at Credit Suisse, and Head of Internet and New Media Sector Research at J.P. Morgan Asia Pacific (excluding Japan), where he led the Internet, new media, and education sector research teams at both firms. Mr. Wei was named the No.1 Asia Internet Research Analyst numerous times by Institutional Investor (II) Magazine. He also worked at Merrill Lynch and Quantum Corporation in the U.S.
Mr. Wei graduated from University of Washington and Stanford University with engineering degrees, and an MBA degree from Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania.
Kishore Suratkal joined Nan Fung in 2017. Kishore is involved in the firm’s public securities investments.
Before joining Nan Fung, Kishore held various senior positions at Deutsche Bank, Oaktree Capital, Lehman Brothers and Macquarie Securities in Hong Kong, where he focused on buy and sell-side research in the technology sector.
Kishore holds an MBA degree from Indian Institute of Management, and BTech in Engineering from Bombay University.
Kenny Chan joined Nan Fung in 2010. Kenny is involved in the firm’s public securities investments.
Before joining Nan Fung, Kenny was a metals and mining analyst at the Royal Bank of Scotland. He also held positions as a special situation buy-side analyst with Standard Bank, and as a telecom and internet analyst with Merrill Lynch.
Kenny holds a MSc in Finance and Economics from the University of Warwick and is a CFA and CAIA charter holder.
Thomas Leung joined Nan Fung in 2010. Thomas is involved in the firm’s private fund and direct investments.
Before joining Nan Fung, Thomas worked for Ping An of China’s International Private Equity and M&A division, where he was involved in a number of major private equity and M&A transactions and fund investments globally. He was involved with post-merger integrations for various Ping An's businesses. Prior to that, he worked at the family office of Broadcom in the US where he executed and managed venture capital, growth and mezzanine investments. While there, he worked closely with the portfolio companies in driving value to the investments. At Motorola in the US, he evaluated early stage tech investment opportunities.
Thomas holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He was Co-President for MIT Sloan's Asian Business Club and also was Adviser for a number of MIT founded companies. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Degree from Washington University at St. Louis where he was elected to be Vice President of Eta Kappa Nu honorary society. He serves as a School Council member for Quarry Bay School, an English School Foundation (ESF) school.
Jacky Su joined Nan Fung in 2015. Jacky is involved in the firm’s public securities investments.
Before joining Nan Fung, Jacky worked at Safe Investment Company Limited (SICL) in Hong Kong and has been specializing in the global TMT sector since 2010. He had also worked in the Prime Brokerage department of UBS and Goldman Sachs.
Jacky holds a Bachelor degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and is a Chartered CFA holder and a Chartered FRM holder.
Meng Zhou joined Nan Fung in 2017. Meng is involved in the firm’s private fund and direct investments.
Before joining Nan Fung, Meng was a Senior Associate at Alpinvest Partners where he evaluated and executed fund investments across Asia Pacific. Before AlpInvest, he was an Associate at Oaktree Capital covering private equity investments in Asia. Prior to that, he worked in investment banking at Credit Suisse in New York and Hong Kong.
Meng received a BS in Biomedical Engineering and a MS in Operations Research from Columbia University.
Sylvia Chao joined Nan Fung in 2020. Sylvia is involved in the firm’s public securities investments.
Before joining Nan Fung, Sylvia held various healthcare-focused investing and strategy roles at William Blair, TLC Bio, and Co-High Investment Management in the US and Greater China. She started her career as analyst at Morningstar, Inc.
Sylvia holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from National Tsing Hua University, an MS in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Charles Fang joined Nan Fung in 2020. Charles is involved in the firm’s public securities investments.
Before joining Nan Fung, Charles was a macro strategist at SeaTown Holdings in Singapore, where he focused on global multi-asset allocation and macro top-down investment through futures and ETFs. Prior to that, he was a EM/Asia equity strategist at Goldman Sachs.
Charles holds a MS degree in Financial Engineering, Ph.D. and B.Eng in Electrical & Electronics from Nanyang Technological University.
Jack Guan is a Vice President focusing on the firm’s private fund and direct investments.
Before joining Nan Fung in 2020, Jack was an Associate at Primavera Capital, a leading China-based Private Equity firm, where he evaluated various buyout and growth equity investment opportunities across multiple regions. Before Primavera, he worked in investment banking at Credit Suisse in Hong Kong covering the TMT sector in Asia. Prior to that, he worked in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York.
Jack graduated from University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Finance, Accounting and Mathematics.
Andrew Hao joined Nan Fung in 2020. Andrew is the trader for the firm’s public securities investments.
Before joining Nan Fung, Andrew was the Head of Trading at Parantoux Capital and Sylebra Capital, both of which are fundamental long/short equity hedge funds based in Hong Kong. Prior to that, he was a precious metal market maker at HSBC and a US execution trader at BOCI.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and Management from London School of Economics and Political Science.
Gavin is a Vice President focusing on structured investment and based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining Nan Fung Trinity in 2020, Gavin was a Vice President at Lone Star Funds, focusing on credit, special situations and distressed investments in Greater China as well as real estate investments in Asia-Pacific. Previously, Gavin was a founding team member of the real estate investment team at China Merchants Capital. Gavin started his career as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong.
Gavin received a B.B.A. from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business and a B.A. in Political Science from the College of Literature, Science and the Arts at the University of Michigan.
Hanyu Zhang joined Nan Fung in 2019. Hanyu is involved in the firm’s public securities investments.
Before joining Nan Fung, Hanyu was an industrial and utilities research analyst at Deutsche Bank Hong Kong. Prior to that, he was a research analyst at HSBC and CICC.
Hanyu holds a BA in Finance, Bs in Applied Mathematics from Peking University, and MS in Financial Mathematics from Stanford University.
Yvonne Chow joined Nan Fung in 2019. Yvonne is involved in the firm’s public securities investments.
Before joining Nan Fung, Yvonne was an investment professional with a family office. Prior to that, she was a Telecom research analyst at Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan and ABN Amro in Hong Kong.
Yvonne holds a MEng in Manufacturing Engineering from University of Cambridge.
Dudu Hong joined Nan Fung in 2013. Dudu is involved in the firm’s public securities investments.
She joined Nan Fung Group as a management trainee where she spent a 2-year rotation program across investment-related functions.
Dudu holds a BSc degree in Economics and Finance from University of Hong Kong and is a CFA charter holder.
Rui Wang joined Nan Fung in 2020. Rui is involved in the firm’s public securities investments.
Before joining Nan Fung, Rui serves UBP Asset Management as a China equity analyst. Prior to that, she works in another family office covering China Internet public equities.

Before joining Nan Fung, Calvin was a research associate with a European Investment Bank (EIB) in Hong Kong, focusing on Internet companies.
